Established in 2014 Red Tide is now located in New Denver BC. We are offering the Kootenays top quality custom tattoos.
Our goal is to provide everyone with a top quality tattoo experience and we will work with you to create your perfect tattoo. However, we will not agree to do a tattoo that we do not believe we will all be happy with.
We pride ourselves in keeping our shop clean and sterilized for our clients well-being and our own. We use sterile single use needles, tubes, inks, and supplies. We use barriers and bag covers on all our equipment as well to prevent cross contamination. We follow Health Canada guidelines for safe body art.

Jenny specializes and works in a number of styles and subject matters. Color, black and grey, wildlife, japanese, realism, traditional, neo-traditional, black work, pinups and coverups. She also works with scar coverups and nipple restoration.

HOW DO I BOOK
All artists book their own appointments. You must contact one of them directly and follow their own personal directions for booking.
Look through the portfolios to see whose artwork resembles what you are looking for. Contact them through the link on their page and wait for their response and instructions.
They will instruct you on the info they need and also will set up an in person consult with them. This can only be done through them.
DO I NEED TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT
YES. Your deposit is put down on the tattoo to book an appointment and hold your place. It will be taken off your final appointment of your tattoo.
This deposit belongs to the artist as soon as you leave it. It pays for their time and effort in doing your artwork. If you choose to not finish your tattoo you will not be refunded.
You will also lose your deposit if you do not follow cancellation and rebooking protocol.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON.
CAN I REBOOK OR CANCEL
To rebook an appointment you must give 72 HOURS NOTICE. We require the time to be able to put another client in your place last minute.
You may cancel an appointment at any time. You will lose your deposit for the wasted time of the artist.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND
NO. Only artists and their clients are allowed in the work areas. It is distracting to clients and artists and also poses contamination risks.
We do not have a waiting room.
Touch ups are done at a $40 supply fee. (Or at the artist discretion for large, detailed, or realism pieces.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
YOU CANNOT BE TATTOOED WHILE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING.
YOU CAN NOT GO IN A HOT TUB OR SWIMMING POOL FOR UP TO A MONTH.
YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE 4 DAYS TO A WEEK OFF OF GOING TO THE GYM OR PLAYING SPORTS.
YOU SHOULD NOT BE TATTOOED IMMEDIATELY BEFORE GOING ON A HOT VACATION. WAIT UNTIL YOU GET BACK OR AT LEAST A MONTH OR MORE BEFORE GOING.
WE WILL TURN YOU AWAY IF YOU APPEAR DRUNK OR ON DRUGS.
MAKE SURE TO COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT CLEAN AND SHOWERED AND WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHING FOR THE BODY PART YOU INTEND TO GET TATTOOED.
MAKE SURE TO EAT A GOOD MEAL BEFORE COMING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT AND WARN YOUR ARTIST OF FAINTING, ALLERGIES OR ANYTHING THAT MIGHT BE IMPORTANT FOR THEM TO KNOW.
IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION SPEAK WITH YOUR DOCTOR FIRST TO FIND OUT IF YOU ARE OK TO BE TATTOOED. WE ARE NOT DOCTORS AND CANNOT GIVE MEDICAL ADVICE.
